Whole 30: Week 2 and 3

I have 2 distinct feeling about this diet

  1. I am LOVING my energy levels
  2. WHEN IS THIS OVER?!!

I mean don’t get me wrong, there are so many benefits to Whole30 that if are considering it, please don’t mind me dramatic reactions and give it a try. My energy throughout the day is AMAZING! My body’s reactions to the food I eat was improved drastically. TMI but I don’t have to ummmm go to the bathroom every single time I eat anymore.

Anyway… I didn’t write down all the recipes for week 2 because it felt the same. We did 2 type of roasted chicken, an Italian meatball soup, chicken salad and one other thing I can’t remember. My mom also made a spinach and ground chicken frittata for breakfast every day. She made it Sunday and cut it into portions for each day and packed it away. that way she could grab it in the morning and go. She said pre-made breakfast has made her life exponentially better. For week 3 we realized that we were killing ourselves trying to find recipes to cook every week and decided to go with the flow. So for week 3 we’ve had so far

  1. Sauteed Shrimp (caramelized onions, garlic, and bell peppers) and broccoli.
  2. Baked chicken with Flavor God Everything seasoning and roasted Asparagus
  3. Oven fried Cod (Paleo recipe/Whole30 compliant) with Cabbage

We still have a few days left so we’ll see what happens next. With only 9 days left to go I remind myself this is almost over. I also remind myself that a healthy lifestyle is more than just a diet. It’s a way of living and this is just step 1 in the right directions. We are still planning on transitioning to a Paleo diet after this but man… I miss Chic-Fil-A right now.
